One of the most interesting bromeliads from an edible standpoint. This brazilian species Is frost tolerant and has a beautiful vase form leading to a brilliant flower and fruit which I can only compare to syrup or Honey. Unlike the fused fruit of a pinapple this fruit has individual segments with a slurpable honey packet. 10/10 plant. Would recommend.
