The coffee plant is native to Ethiopia where it grows as a bush or small tree. Grown for centuries for its caffeine rich berries which are very sweet too. The plant is resistant to just above freezing  So it can be grown outdoors where it doesn't  Frost and actually makes a great house plant  In more temperate regions. Easy to grow, it can be fruited in a pot or would be happy in a food forest understory.
