This might be the prettiest steno for me, with vibrant ruby colored new spines. many ribbed, the pachona seems to be closest to s. queretaroensis in looks. The columns are thick and fruits are typically red and very delicious. Enjoyed through a very limited range in southeren Mexico and celebrated in perhaps just a few towns. Wild and beautiful, impossibly rare, add this species to your cactus orchard. 50 seeds per pack. Harvested in June, 2026.
