We call these mango guava around here. In Brazil they are known as guaviroba. Or called perfume guavas sometimes. This genus of fruits has many species, many are subpar but xanthocarpa is excellent to eat. Good size, great seed to flesh ratio. Sweet mango taste and texture with a notable spiciness comparable to holiday spices. Uniquely delicious. Trees are medium height, and attractive with their glossy leaves and peeling bark.
