Relatively short plants for yuccas reaching only 2 feet tall though it grows quite large fruits. Everyone that has tasted it likes it. It has a pleasant creaminess like banana and is very sweet without the soapiness of some other yucca fruits. The seeds are also edible and were ground and eaten by many tribes. Banana yucca can handle extreme temperatures of 120F and is hardy to as low as -20F. So it's good to grow almost anywhere.
