This fig is native to the southern cape region in baja California. The trees grow in the canyons and the roots scramble over huge boulders, they are quite magnificent to see. These are some of the largest trees in baja but they can also make a gorgeous bonzai plant. The fruits are coveted by local wildlife and humans alike.
