This species is a true treasure of the desert. Relatively rare it's only found high in the sky islands in the southwest where it flowers and fruits in plentitude. These thornless plants hold the sweetest rubus fruits ive ever tasted. The plants are incredibly showy in bloom with large rose like white flowers. It grows as a perennial and arboreal form, taking shape of a large weeping bush and reaching about 10 feet. The new canes are a brilliant red color and the mature trunk can grow as thick as your forearm. The plants handle snow In the winter and Temps above 90F in the summer so it's quite resilient. This species is highly likely to cross with other related woody rubus species from the Americas such as thimble berry, r. Trilobus etc. I believe this plant has great potential as an ornamental and excellent edible across the world in a wide range of climates. 15 seeds
