Native from Brazil to Argentina. This species is endangered in its natural habitat and is not commercially grown though I believe it has great potential. This fruit is very delicious, having a bold fragrance like citrus and maricuja. Taste is sweet and deliciously refreshing eaten fresh or as a juice. Plant grows as a medium sized spiny vine (15 feet) and requires cross pollination. Definitely worth growing.
