This species was likely found in peru in the clould forests. It has an unusual growth habit of branching heavily and growing close to the ground. The fruit is sweet and mild to eat around the seeds. This vasconcellea sp. Was crossed with v. Sphaerocarpa pollen this year so the results should be interesting.
