Sweet and tart bananas with nice taste . Musa velutina is a species and has seeds. Plants are short from 3 to 5 feet or 10ft if very wet and warm. These Bananas have a soft velvet fuzz on the fruits and the bananas auto peel themselves when ripe. Overall highly ornamental and of course edible. Hardy outside to 35-40F and can be cultivated and fruited indoors on a pot. Most bananas are stimulated by fire to sprout so soak the seeds in warm water and ashes. Can take up to 9 months to sprout so don't give up.
